Louise has been offering CPD training courses for practitioners since 2018, adding content and courses as she noticed common needs from her colleagues. She now teaches four different courses: three 2-day courses and one 1-day course, plus the opportunity to observe the post mortem she does with a team of dedicated practitioners.
Her aim is always to share as much as possible, in the clearest way possible. Her approach to teaching is that no question is out of bounds or too silly to ask. She believes that every conversation is an opportunity to learn.
Whole Body Approach to Joint Realignment and Mobility for the Equine Therapist – 2 days
In this course, Louise shares her osteopathic approach to joints and as well as techniques to assess and improve range of motion of the joints of the spine and limbs.
All the techniques are safe to use by practitioners of different approaches and modalities.
Louise also includes osteopathic concepts that she has founds key in supporting her with difficult cases and that she noticed was often missing from people’s initial training.
This course is best suited to massage therapists and physiotherapists but has been attended by chiropractors and osteopaths too, always leaving practitioners happy and excited to try new techniques with their patients.
Visceral and Craniosacral Techniques for the Equine Therapist – 2 days
In this course, Louise shares the basis of approaching and rebalancing the visceral and craniosacral systems.
The first day of this course is focused on understanding the interconnection of the various organs of the abdominal cavity, along with techniques to test mobility of the organs and release safely mechanical restrictions found. Louise also focuses on the interconnection between the abdomen and the musculoskeletal system.
The second day is all about the craniosacral system, introducting the craniosacral feel and practicing rebalancing techniques.
Triangulation – 2 day training course
At a crossroad between craniosacral therapy and energy work, this technique allows the practitioner to tune into the body and be guided by it to areas of restriction. From primary to secondary dysfunctions, this intuitive approach lets the body lead the session and makes sure the practitioner gives exactly what the body needs. At its core is the principle of homeostasis, the body’s ability to heal itself.
The attendees will learn how to feel for subtle movements within the tissue, analyse what those movement mean, and learn how to let the implications influence their treatment safely.
Deep Dive: The Ribcage – 1 day course
In this course, Louise shares her approach to ribcage restrictions. From influencing the shoulders, back and pelvis mobility and symmetry, ribcage restrictions are often overlooked or confused with other type of restrictions. Approaching the ribcage as a whole allows the practitioner to appreciate the true anatomy and function of this area, releasing compensations through the rest of the body by only addressing this area.
A one day training packed with anatomy and techniques to assess and release.
